The Sierra Wireless AirCard 850 is a PCMCIA card for your laptop that provides a 3G HSPDA connection anywhere there is a 3G mobile phone signal giving you a broadband style connection for Email and Internet use.

With the Sierra AirCard 850 and a data enabled SIM Card your laptop has access to Email and a fast Internet connection wherever it is needed using HSDPA and UMTS. The Sierra AirCard 850 is also backwards compatible allowing use on UMTS/EDGE/GPRS/GSM connections.

The antenna on the Sierra AirCard 850 is removable as well as being flexible and is mounted on a fully hinged swivel connector. The AirCard 850’s firmware is field upgradeable if required. A developer tool set is also available for users wishing to customise applications.

The Sierra 850’s secure data link lets you view streaming video, FTP, Instant Messaging and other popular Internet programs. For business users the AirCard can provide the platform for a safe and secure VPN access back to corporate or company offices.
