Ericsson G36e Description

The Ericsson G36e reduces business phone bills by routing calls to mobiles over the GSM network and also provides a PC/Laptop with a fast EDGE/GPRS connection.

The Ericsson G36e Fixed Cellular Terminal (FCT also known as a Premicell) for GSM/EDGE Networks connects to a normal office or business PBX. Routing "07" calls from the PBX to the Ericsson G36e allows these calls to be charged at mobile-to-mobile rates rather than the expensive land line-to-mobile rates. The Ericsson G36e provides an ideal solution to implement Least Cost Routing (LCR) and reduce telephony costs.

Data use is supported via USB connectivity to a laptop or desktop PC. By connecting directly via the included USB cable the Ericsson G36e becomes a GSM modem transferring data over GPRS at up to 82.6kbps or the faster EDGE connection at up to 236.8kbps.

The Ericsson G36e takes a normal data-enabled mobile phone SIM Card and is dual band, supporting GSM900 and GSM1800 frequencies.

The SIM Card you use can be either Contract or Pre-Paid giving you total control over the phone line and costs. Ericsson recommends a Contract SIM with cross network time included be used with the Ericsson G36e for maximum LCR cost effectiveness
