Ericsson G32e Description

The Ericsson G32e Fixed Cellular Terminal (FCT , also known as a Premicell), connects to conventional telephones and fax machines allowing calls and faxes out over the GSM mobile phone network.

Supporting all the major UK Mobile Phone networks, the Ericsson G32e FCT uses a normal data-enabled mobile phone SIM card. Simply plug the Ericsson G32e into your telephone, PC/laptop or fax machine and the G32e gives you fixed telephone services without the need for a permanent telephone line making it an ideal solution for remote or temporary locations or where no fixed land line is available.

Connecting the Ericsson G32e directly via the included USB cable, the Ericsson G32e is then able to be used as GSM modem transferring data over GPRS at up to 82.6kbps or the faster EDGE connection up to 236.8kbps.

The Ericsson G32e will show Calling Line Identification, CLI or "Caller ID" on compatible telephones. SMS use is also available when acting as a GSM modem. The SIM Card you use can be either Contract or Pre-Paid giving you total control over the phone line and costs.

Call quality using the Ericsson G32e is as clear and crisp as any modern mobile phone. Supporting a maximum of three devices via the RJ11 socket and a single laptop or desktop PC via USB. Typical use with the Ericsson would be a multifunction fax, then a telephone or telephone answering machine on the RJ-11 connector and a laptop on the USB connection.

The Ericsson G32e is compatible with and supports the following standards: CLI, ETSI DTMF, ETSI v.23 and Bellcore FSK.
