Asus P526 Description

The sleek and lightweight Asus P526 is a GPS equipped device running Windows Mobile 6 Professional.

The Asus P526 comes complete with Clearvue. This application allows viewing of all your Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat PDF files. Live Messenger provides Instant Messaging abilities, whilst Windows Media Player handles video clips, recording and music downloads. The Bluetooth hardware integral to the P526 also supports the Bluetooth Presenter application, enabling you to control presentations being shown through a computer.

A scroll wheel is integrated into the side of the P526 making navigation easy. Another useful feature is a dedicated lock slider built into the right hand edge. This locks/unlocks the keypad with a flick of the switch, avoiding the unlock combination buttons used in alternative devices.

The Asus P526s GPS capability is provided by the popular SiRFstar III chipset. Basic velocity and locations are available immediately with additional mapping applications available this can be extended.

A standard MiniUSB connector enables syncing with a PC at home or in the Office, whilst a normal MicroSD card slot provides a means for inexpensive expansion the memory for storing data, pictures, video and sounds.
